Ski Resorts
Bulgaria is becoming a very popular skiing resort in europe due to the excellent value for money. Although resorts tend to be small they offer high quality skiing and they are relatively unspoilt. The continental climate results in cold sunny weather dominating the winter until late February allowing for fine powder snow conditions, by late March it is possible to ski in a T-shirt although at resorts such as Bansko skiing continues till the end of April. Christmas skiing is not guaranteed - however generally by New Year one of the resorts should have good skiing.

There are three main skiing resorts in bulgaria which are :

Pamporovo

Nestling in the pine forests of the Rhodope Mountains, Pamporovo enjoys the reputation of being Europe's sunniest ski resort. Overlooking the Snezhanka Mountain, this delightful purpose-built resort with its Alpine style, has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and is lively without being raucous. Many guests return year after year, just to experience once again the charm and hospitality of this resort, the efficiency of the Ski School and the added bonus of the ?-sterling going much further than at home. A great place to Learn-To-Ski and Board.
